Its not Circus Parade .

Clown Theme and Multi Hues
 Louise Gray

Brings Youthful Street Style to dress up in overloaded combination of stripes , dots and checks . Dare to have Fun in your Personal Style then this is for you .

I am not watching a  Circus ! nor I am at any kid’s party then
where am I ?

Balloons are attached
as headdress , whistles are dangling earrings , streamers are attached
on clothes . Exactly these are the few things that gives instant impression
 of being at circus or
kid’s party that’s what happened with me
when I described everything related
 with clown theme
 to my man.
But its not that . It’s balloon party at LFW
in multi-hue unlike yesterday where
Maria’s single hue
casted spell in her
 floating collection .
The stage is all so
vibrant and full of fun
 - balloons ,streamers ,whistles .
 Yes its party !
its fashion party
 brought by Scottish Designer -
 Louise Gray at
 London Fashion Week.
The very name associated with Colourful shift dress and geometric embellishments or to be more precise the designer of the show called “ Get Some Stuff “ for S /S 2011. Her art of customising the textiles and use of party streamers is not new though . Following to keep the promise of youthful fashion once again Loiuse brought more fun and total party in her ready to wear A/ W 2011 collection .

The overload of textures , clashing of the patterns and dressing up in
primary hues inspires the personal
 style to experiment playfully.
Checks , dots and stripes are
 beautiful patterns but haven’t
tried to dress up in it though
apart from my fancy dress bloomer .

Creativity that is overloaded with
mixing emphasis the joy in it but
how many will adopt it in real life is bit difficult to guess  at this stage.

You got be bold ,
you got to be experimental ,
you got to be in love with colours
 and above all contradictory
to regular  i.e.Carefree –
 who cares the crash of
texture and shades  , wearing puffy contents
 and inflated straps to
express the joy involved in it.
We all at some phase has tried
little bit  may be dot and
plains or checks and  stripes
or plaids and some more plaids ….
This autumn we have more
and more on plate .

Live up some fun ,
play it more than before .

Maria Grachvogel Monochromatic Spell

Day 1 of Floating Prints at LFW

London Fashion Week on its way to
record the creations  for Autumn Winter 2011
where as we are sorting our
wardrobe for Summer Tees.
Just get ready in your warmers
for I am taking you to freezing temperatures
when the sky is dark and days are short.
The very atmosphere of Maria Grachvogel ‘s
latest collection is monochromatic
 – all that is of single hue .
Adding very basic tints ,tones and shades
of black and white with diversity in
creation and  letting the scene
 of shadow and light to
get interfered by vibrant tangerine long dress .

 The sexy silhouettes speaks of
very feminine side of the collection.
If we look into the collection
we see long , flowing hemlines
and draped fabric .The selection
 of fabric includes plains and
  interesting marbelled print which
seems to be created by letting
the back ,white ,grey colours
 to float and when worn
stand out its sophisticate
impression in drape dress style or twisted seams .

 Lets get the long dresses
out of the way first . I am sure these
floating long dress make you feel
special as you walk and undoubtedly stylish.
The slivery grey flowing fabric
almost floating at the hem  with front key hole neckline looks
luxurious and feminine.
The simple black long dress in v – neck
modelled with bold  makeup
and shocking hairdo
the paradigm of classic winter dress.

The fairy tale story of flowing fabric
doesn’t end here for they are
 kept loose around the waist
 and smartly tucked in stiching
detail to flatter the body around
the hips and all the way down to float.
The vibrant tangerine ready to wear dress drapes around cleverly and ends into fitted gesture .

 Silhouettes in ready to wear
dress style are classic and simple
with multitude designs in trousers
from high waisted wide leg to
tapered trousers paired with
lace or plain shirt and classic jacket
or just a loose fit top in silk
that defines the contour of the body
beautifully seductive.Very minimal yet sexy.
The outfit worn over the long dress in white gown with fur detail thrown over the shoulders in the form of shawl collar looks majestic .

Models carried this sophisticated simple style in bold makeup .Lips in black and buns tied up with spikey detail for oriental look.

A reference to American Textiles

Looking back into culture and heritage has always been popular among the designers for inspiration  and among the masses for vintage collectables . The few collections in New York A / W 2011 –2012 made me to think of the time of arts tradition  where some put their skills into dyeing and colouring the yarns and some put their creativity into pattern designs.

According to reviews Proenza’s 2011 A/W collection is a journey to Native American Culture - a reference from textiles and the techniques involved. A tour  to discover the relationship between traditional weaving and contemporary graphic collaborations of cutting edge modern element . Proenza’s latest collection is a  story of  changes of blue hues to golden from layer to layer of an American Sky that sheds its warmth over the plains and valleys  against the black background .

Lets roll the bobbins loaded with weft yarn from side to side between the warp yarn and repeat the geometric patterns of traditional American blanket over tapered trousers ,figure hugging sheath dresses and skirts. It was seemingly more what we think of geometric print when it come to  motif of traditional American Quilt  from head to toe .

I liked the jacquard knit sweater which minimises the look into simple one piece when paired with patterned loose fitting trouser tucked in with belt. Hand painted geometric patterns on velvet dress looks perfect for the evenings .

Bright Shades screaming to be out !

Take your Brights out with you . Get Party Started ...

Have you ever tried listening to the conversation going on between the outfits inside the wardrobe ? I did ….now I am not crazy ! but its interesting to imagine it .

Guess what ? the other day I heard the conversation between my red dress and black dress. It seems like  my Red Dress  said , “ Even though I standout among other dresses in the closet still I am waiting for my turn to be worn. Why you are always partying and I have been out only once? "….
Though my starting point is bit late to share but it has something to do with today'story. Last Christmas  (i.e. 2010 ) i was in party with my work mates where only i was the one in red dress that I bought from H & M and majority of them were in black and more black and few in whites and beige. That means that when it comes to party many would readily go for black dress . That’s it from here the whole story started. I think that’s the inside story of every women's wardrobe.
My Red Dress  feels ignored. The moment I opened my wardrobe to pick a dress for going out my red dress gave a look to my black dress ?
And Look at my black dress Smiling !

I thought to sort out this conversation finally for this spring summer season .

“Oh ! no dear its not , its not that ! i don't mind wearing bright shades  " .Its just mixing myself with the crowd and trend . Being of Asian Origin our clothes have wide spectrum of colours and kaleidoscope in outfits.  I have too many Indian suits or sarees that are actually in variety of colours but most of time they are just limited to suitcase very rarely i wear them unless and until it is the demand of the occassion .I hope they are not  screaming to be out .

Wondering are colours ever so Bright ?

If you too have some bright Oranges or metallic blues in your wardrobe and they been moody with you for not been out with you then here is good news for you.Today is something very young and bright for you , for this season is going to be colourfully bold .

So get your party started with plenty of bright  alternatives to black dress. From tea dresses to cocktail glamour you can be way forward with  PPQ in bold and bright prints and craft cutting edges. Seems more fun and glamour in PPQ 's structured cocktail dresses in jewel bright colour or belted party frock .

Something is simply outstanding for those who want to Party Party Party.Dark Yellow Ochre and metallic  silk tapered  trousers , 70 style geometric top to scarlet belted frock with little detailing at the neckline and hemline looks effortlessly fab.

Still if you think  bright is not
for you there is an awesome
option in some blacks with colored
 piping at the edges.

 For those who want to
stay within the boundary
of very traditional black dress
PPQ have few  lovely dresses
in black this spring summer collection .

Don’t forget black wedges that standout in their gold glitter and embroidery Have carefree evening and more fun in Fez Hats .Enjoy your party.Let your brights out .
